SECTION III HEALTH INFORMATION
_______________________________________________________________________________
THE HEALTH EFFECTS NOTED BELOW ARE CONSISTENT WITH REQUIREMENTS UNDER THE OSHA
HAZARD COMMUNICATION STANDARD (29 CFR 1910.1200).
EYE CONTACT: BARIUM DINONYLNAPHALENESULFONATE HAS BEEN SHOWN TO BE CORROSIVE
              TO THE EYES.
SKIN CONTACT: PROLONGED OR REPEATED CONTACT MAY CAUSE VARIOUS SKIN DISORDERS
SUCH AS DERMATITIS, FOLLICULITIS OR OIL ACNE AND MAY RESULT IN
THE ABSORPTION OF LEAD (SEE SECTION VI). BARIUM
DINONYLNAPHALENESULFONATE IS A MODERATE PRIMARY SKIN IRRITANT.
COPPER DUST AND MIST HAS BEEN SHOWN TO CAUSE SKIN SENSITIZATION.
RELEASE DURING HIGH PRESSURE USAGE MAY RESULT IN INJECTION OF OIL
INTO THE SKIN CAUSING LOCAL NECROSIS.
INHALATION: NOT EXPECTED TO BE A RELEVANT ROUTE OF EXPOSURE, HOWEVER, UNDER
HIGH TEMPERATURE CONDITIONS, VAPORS IRRITATING TO THE NOSE,
THROAT AND UPPER RESPIRATORY TRACT MAY BE PRODUCED.
INGESTION: BASED ON THE PRESENCE OF LEAD, INGESTION MAY RESULT IN LEAD
TOXICITY (SEE SECTION VI). INGESTION OF COPPER MAY CAUSE
VOMITING AND COLLAPSE. ACUTE POISONING IS CHARACTERIZED BY
HEMOLYSIS, JAUNDICE, ANURIA HYPOTENSION AND CONVULSIONS.
SIGNS AND SYMPTOMS: IRRITATION AS NOTED ABOVE. LOCAL NECROSIS IS EVIDENCED BY
DELAYED ONSET OF PAIN AND TISSUE DAMAGE A FEW HOURS
FOLLOWING INJECTION. SKIN SENSITIZATION MAY BE EVIDENCED
BY RASHES, ESPECIALLY HIVES. ACUTE EXPOSURE TO COPPER MAY
CAUSE METALLIC TASTE AND NASAL ULCERATION, METALLIC FUME
FEVER, DISCOLORATION OF SKIN AND HAIR.
AGGRAVATED MEDICAL CONDITIONS:
PREEXISTING DISORDERS INCLUDING SKIN, BLOOD PRESSURE, BLOOD, KIDNEY OR
NERVOUS SYSTEM MAY BE AGGRAVATED BY EXPOSURE TO THIS PRODUCT.
OTHER HEALTH EFFECTS:
LEAD IS LISTED AS A CLASS 2B CARCINOGEN, SUFFICIENT EVIDENCE FOR
CARCINOGENICITY IN EXPERIMENTAL ANIMALS, BY IARC. SUFFICIENT LEAD ABSORPTION
IS KNOWN TO CAUSE DAMAGE TO BONE MARROW (ANEMIA), THE NERVOUS SYSTEM (BRAIN
AND PERIPHERAL NERVE), KIDNEYS, AND BOWELS (COLIC). ADVERSE REPRODUCTIVE
EFFECTS INCLUDE STERILITY AND NEONATAL DEATHS.

SECTION V EMERGENCY AND FIRST AID PROCEDURES
_______________________________________________________________________________
EYE CONTACT: FLUSH WITH WATER FOR 15 MINUTES WHILE HOLDING EYELIDS OPEN. GET
              MEDICAL ATTENTION.
SKIN CONTACT: REMOVE CONTAMINATED CLOTHING AND WIPE EXCESS OFF. WASH WITH SOAP
AND WATER OR A WATERLESS HAND CLEANER FOLLOWED BY SOAP AND WATER.
DO NOT REUSE CLOTHING UNTIL THOROUGHLY CLEANED. IF IRRITATION
PERSISTS, GET MEDICAL ATTENTION. IF MATERIAL IS INJECTED UNDER
THE SKIN, GET MEDICAL ATTENTION PROMPTLY TO PREVENT SERIOUS
DAMAGE; DO NOT WAIT FOR SYMPTOMS TO DEVELOP.
INHALATION: REMOVE VICTIM TO FRESH AIR AND PROVIDE OXYGEN IF BREATHING IS
              DIFFICULT. GET MEDICAL ATTENTION.
INGESTION: DO NOT INDUCE VOMITING. GET MEDICAL ADVICE IMMEDIATELY.
NOTE TO PHYSICIAN: PATIENTS WHO HAVE INGESTED PRODUCT SHOULD BE MONITORED FOR
                    LEAD AND COPPER TOXICITY.
_______________________________________________________________________________
SECTION VI SUPPLEMENTAL HEALTH INFORMATION
_______________________________________________________________________________
NO REPORTS OF LEAD TOXICITY HAVE BEEN ASSOCIATED WITH THIS PRODUCT. HOWEVER,
SKIN CONTACT MAY RESULT IN ABSORPTION OF LEAD INTO THE BLOODSTREAM, WHICH
POTENTIALLY COULD RESULT IN LEAD TOXICITY OR ADVERSE REPRODUCTIVE EFFECTS.
SUFFICIENT LEAD ABSORPTION IS KNOWN TO CAUSE DAMAGE TO BONE MARROW (ANEMIA),
NERVOUS SYSTEM (BRAIN AND PERIPHERAL NERVE), KIDNEY AND TOXICITY OF BOWEL
(COLIC). HANDLING PROCEDURES AND SAFETY PRECAUTIONS SHOULD BE FOLLOWED TO
MINIMIZE EMPLOYEE EXPOSURE.
